You don’t want to miss D-Now 2008, early registration is now open ($35) through June 30 and late registration will be from July 1-31 ($40) cost at the door will be $45. Pick up a registration packet from the church office TODAY! On Wednesday, July 2 the youth will be making and taking care packages to the local nursing homes. The main retirement/nursing home we will be focusing on is Hermitage Gardens of Southaven (55 residents). HOWEVER, my goal is to go above and beyond this one nursing home and try to minister to Landmark (+100) and/or DeSoto Health Care (+250) as well. The only way for this goal to be reached is for church members (students & adults) to donation supplies for the care packages. There will be a collection box outside of Michael Bucy’s office and in the grand hall of the church.

It is the middle of the summer in Mississippi… a.k.a. IT’S HOT! It’s so hot, that today I saw a chicken lay a fried egg. So we are going to cool off on this Wednesday night. H2O will NOT be in the attic on Wednesday, July 9! Everyone is welcome to head over to the Baker’s house for H2O… Pool Party Style!!
